CHAPTER ONE

Chapter 1 Turning Point

(Bella)

(Bella) It's my two years anniversary this coming weekend and I've been ecstatic about it. My marriage to Dean has been blissful, peaceful and above all our love grew each passing day. For various reasons, I once was a stripper. I don't think it was something to be ashamed of, but people always used to look at this profession through colored glasses. Until I met my husband, Dean, who is truly a perfect man who loves me, respects me, and doesn't care about my past. I love him just as much. I said goodbye to my past long ago and have been a good wife ever since I got married. The doorbell rings, pulling me out of my thoughts, I smile knowing Ashley, my best friend is here, I applied my lipstick and take a quick glance at the mirror before hurrying downstairs. Dean's out on an important business trip and Ashley's inviting me for a girl's night out. Honestly, I'm in no mood for alcohol, I haven't been feeling too good but Ashley's insisting, and thinking about it now, she's right, it's been long we stepped out. So yeah. "Hi, darling," I say with a wide smile, giving Ashley a quick kiss on the cheeks. "How do I look?" I spread my arms, expecting her praises. Her eyes darts on me for a while and then a smile forms. "You look —stunning, as always." She says, her smile spreading across her face. "Thank you, boo. You look as stunning yourself," I reply and then I tilted my head. "Where are we going?" I ask. "It's a surprise, but a good time is assured," she says, her smile still in place. "Alright, but Ash I'm not drinking too much tonight, haven't been feeling too good lately," I say just in case. "Plus you know I'm not good with alcohol," "Roger that, now after you," she winks as we exit my penthouse. ****** My eyes slowly opens, adjusting to the light in the room, I'm in bed, and in a strange room. I straightened up quickly and turned to see Ashley sleeping beside me, and only then did I breath out in relief. God, last night was—-- I can barely even remember a thing, the only thing that I can remember was entering the club with Ashley, laughing and talking through the loud music and then me slowly sipping my first drink. Everything goes blank afterwards, like it's been erased from my memory or something. I guess I had too much of that amber liquid. My head hurts, my body feels like it's been hit by a freight train, I'm staying off alcohol for a long time. Ashley stirs beside me and slowly opens her eyes. "You're awake," she says with a yawn. I nod but then I ask. "How did I end up here?" I raise my brows, skeptical. Ashley shrug it off. "We both had much to drink, couldn't drive in that state, so I figured we should crash here," I nod again, not remembering anything isn't even helpful at all but I'm grateful Ashley has us sorted out. "Thanks, Ash. We should wash up and leave, I need to pickup Dean's anniversary gift," a smile finds it's way to my face as I say this. Ashley gives me a tiny smile. "Right, we should." ******** (Dean) I could barely even wait to get home to my wife, I've been gone for a week and it feels like pure torture staying away. Our anniversary is today, and I already have a perfect gift. I smile comes to my face. I had come back in time for our anniversary dinner, but then I ask Raymond to drive me to the office to pickup a file, I'll be taking a day off from work to spend time with my woman tomorrow. As I shuffle between the documents on my desk, a knock comes to my door and in walks Humphrey. "Welcome back sir," he says with a warm smile and then he extends his hand. "This parcel came in for you this morning, was hoping to have them over but since you're here," My brows rose. "A parcel, for me?" I ask with a hint of skepticism. But with Humphrey's nod, I take it, dismissing him at once. I want to keep it and check what that is later but my curiosity won't let me. Sitting back down in my armchair, I tore the parcel open and nothing prepares me for what I saw. My jaw drops in an instant, my stomach tightens, my head spinning. I stared at 4 pictures of Bella with different men in a compromising position. My breath hitched as I try to process it all. But then my eyes lands at the note at the bottom of the bag. I pick it up. "She's been playing you all along, she has never loved you, being moving with different men, that is a proof, don't be fooled. If you don't believe me, then check your bedroom drawer for birth control pills," I run a hand through my hair, my chest feels so heavy, like it's been rippled apart. How could —- how could Bella do this? My eyes darts to the photos again and my heart broke. I could barely catch my breath, each inhale shaper than the last. "So all of this has been a lie?" I say to myself. "She's been fooling me, deceived me into believing she left that life behind?" But then, the truth stares at me. The harsh reality a cold slap to my face. I've been a fool, a fool for love.

CHAPTER TWO

Chapter 2 What Do I Do?

(Bella) I place the last plate on the table and smiled to myself. I made Dean's favorite, and everything's perfect for this evening. I check my watch, Dean should be here in no time. I stared at the table once more, checking if everything is in place. The candles are where it should be, the flowers are too. Perfect, everything's perfect. I hear the sound of Dean's car and my smile widens. I stand beside the dining, in my sexy as fuck dress, hoping to welcome my husband. But then the door opens to a furious Dean. I have no idea what this is. My smile wears off in an instant as I take in Dean's expression. This isn't how I pictured this evening to be. But then the cold reality of the situation hits me hard as I followed him into our bedroom, harder than anything has in a while. ***** "You were a whore Bella and you're still a whore. Jezz, what was I thinking?" Dean lashes out angrily as he threw pictures of me around the room. I haven't seen Dean this angry, it scares me to the pit of my stomach. "I swear, Dean. This is all a lie, a mistake, a conspiracy," I wail, on my knees as I beg him to listen to me just this once. "Shut the fuckk up, Bella. I'm done listening to you," he seethes. "My mom was right all along, a pig will always remain a pig," he spits the words out, like venom, unfiltered. My heart aches hearing those harsh words from him. Tears stream down my cheeks as I sobbed, but those tears doesn't move Dean, not anymore. My once loving husband, who stood his ground that I was his soulmate, who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, against his family. He didn't care about their opinion of me. A stripper, an exotic dancer but none of that mattered to Dean. He loved me and married me against all odds. "You still crave that life. Don't you?" He fumes, charging towards me, eyes blood shot. "Hot shot Bella, great body, every man's spec. You left that life behind just because I married you and not because you really want to, right?" He spat. I shake my head fervently. "No, Dean. I called it quit because I loved you," I say, amidst sobs. "You know nothing about love, Bella." He says, his voice thick with emotion. "If you loved me, you won't betray me like this. You wouldn't fuckk around, not one, not two, not fucking three, Bella. You're a pig," he yells at me, for the very first time. Where's Dean, the sweet man I married? "Please, Dean. Listen to me. I'd never do that to you. I love you, please believe me." I cried out. He chuckles maniacally. "If anyone had told me you'd hurt me like this. After everything I sacrificed to be with you." He says and paused. "Wasn't I good in bed? Didn't I spoil you enough? What the hell did those fuckers give you that I couldn't?," he grips my hand, and when I stare into his eyes, I saw how much he was hurting, how much he believed all those lies, how much he's not willing to listen. I shake my head in tears. "No one has ever touched me since I met you, Dean. It's the truth," He chuckles, a bitter, amused one. "You're a pathetic liar and even worse, you're a pretender. You stand there and still lie to my face?" He spats, infuriated. If I didn't know Dean well enough, I'd be scared of him hitting me. But Dean is nothing like that and it breaks my heart that after two years of marriage he still doesn't trust me enough. But then again, looking at this pictures.. I'm lost for words. There's more to this, more than neither me nor Dean knows. I'm as shocked as he is… How the hell did this pictures come about? Dean lets go of my hand and walks over to the drawer, as I wince from the impact of his harsh grip. He comes right back with a container, and my eyes strayed. He threw it at me. "You never wanted to get pregnant, you didn't want to ruin your perfect body, you never wanted to carry my child," he says, his voice a thick coating of hurt. I pick the container up, wide-eyed. Birth control pills. How the hell did this get into this room? "Look…. Look, Dean," I stutter. "I didn't know how this got here, I swear. Of course I want to have your child," He stares at me in disbelief. "Liar!" he yells. "You're a pathetic Liar, Bella. What was I thinking? Getting you out of that shit hole, hoping for your redemption?," he snorts. "I was stupid, falling for someone like you. You're meant for the streets Bella, and that's where you'd always be," he snickers. I can hardly grasp a breath, it feels like my heart is being rippled apart. My once perfect marriage just turned into a nightmare in a snap of a finger. Who did I offend? Dean runs his hand through his hair frustratingly as he pace up and down while I cry my eyes out. He let me cry, something he's never done before. I've never had to shed a tear since I met Dean. If there's anything like perfection, that would be Dean. A man I met and my life changed for the better. Ashley would always say that I bashed myself a trophy and wished to have a man like him. Indeed Dean is a trophy, a trophy in a man. And now all of that sweetness is about going down the drain. Dean cast me a once over glance, more like a death stare and walks to our closet. Pulling my clothes and throwing them out. I panicked. God, I'm finished. "Dea— Dean what are you doing?" I stuttered, moving closer, a teary mess. He turns, fixing me with a scary look. "Just like trash, Bella. I'm throwing you out. I'm done, you know this a deal breaker for me. I can't even look at you, you disgust me," he spat as he continued throwing my clothes out. "No, Dean. Let's talk this out. You can't possibly do this, where do I go from where?" He turns again, a taunted smirk on his face. "Oh, you know exactly where to go. A slut like yourself can't be stranded. Just take some few bucks from them niggas and let them fuck you. That's what you're best at anyways," "Stop it, Dean!" I breathed out, another round of tears came flooding down my cheeks. "You promised never to use my past against me," "And never have I!" He yells back. "But then you just showed me that's who you truly are. A fucking slut, a filthy one at that," "Please, Dean," I pleaded again, tired. "Go back to the streets, that's where you belong." He fumes. "Get out of my life and never come back. I'm done," I crawl to him, holding his legs. "Please, Dean. Don't throw away the beautiful life we had," He pulls his leg away forcefully and I fell. "I don't want to get back here and meet you," he spat, his eyes filled with disgust. "My attorney will send the divorce papers across and you're going to sign them!" he spat, and with that he picks his car keys and storms off, leaving me shattered and heartbroken.
